And any mention of John Carpenter should be accompanied with a nod to 'Prince of Darkness'. I highly underated film. Made all the better for the scene where Alice Cooper stabs a guy with a bike.

John Carpenter has made two masterclass films The Thing and Assault on Precinct 13. Both now held up and respected for not just showing blood, guts, gore and flesh. But allowing story to take us through action, brutallity, menace and horror. Along with his music-scores has managed to do something that many have tried - and failed - to copy.

I totally agree with your review.
